This April, Luther Bloomington Subaru dealership is helping the National Wildlife Federation's Butterfly Heroes Program.


It’s all part of the new Subaru Loves the Earth project to preserve the monarch population in the United States.

  • The problem: The monarch butterfly population is declining at an alarming rate due to gardening and agricultural practices in the U.S.

  • How we can help: By creating monarch-friendly habitats, we can provide a place for monarchs to rest and lay eggs.

About National Wildlife Federation’s Butterfly Heroes

To help restore the monarch butterfly population, the National Wildlife Federation added Butterfly Heroes to their Garden for Wildlife program. Butterfly Heroes is designed to help increase the monarch population by building monarch habitats all over the U.S.

Did you know: The monarch population has declined more than 90 percent?


This program helps bring awareness to gardeners, kids and families. It also provides the materials for butterfly gardens to those who want to help.
